Agnes was born and raised in South Auckland and is currently a Policy Analyst based in Wellington. She completed her tertiary studies at the University of Auckland and graduated with a BHSc in 2019 and LLB in 2022. Her commitment, passion and willingness to serve the Pacific community are demonstrated by her past involvement with the University of Auckland Pacific Island Law Students Association, co-founding the Auckland Pasifika Health Initiative, and previous roles working with Pacific secondary students. Agnes was awarded the University of Auckland Chancellor's Award for Top Māori and Pacific Scholar and the Pacific Health Scholarship.
Agnes believes that our minority populations should have equitable access to the justice system and resources to obtain a fair and just outcome. She is passionate in using her skills and diverse worldview to help integrate cultural aspects into the justice system to help better understand the communities that are most overrepresented in the system.
