Faye is a Pākehā woman, born and raised in Grey Lynn, Tāmaki Makaurau. She is currently completing her LLB(Hons)/BA majoring in Psychology at the University of Auckland, where she received a first equal in course award for LAWGENRL 711.

During the final years of her LLB, Faye has focused her academic work on the Māori–Crown relationship in Aotearoa, examining its interaction with climate change law, human rights law, systemic corruption, and related areas. Her research reflects a commitment to understanding the contemporary opportunities and demands arising from Te Tiriti o Waitangi and what it means to be tangata tiriti in Aotearoa.

Following a semester exchange in Copenhagen, where she observed the pro bono legal system involving law students, Faye was inspired to contribute to similar initiatives in Tāmaki Makaurau. She is passionate about applying her interdisciplinary knowledge from both law and psychology to support CulturalWise's mission of delivering culturally responsive and evidence-based reports.
