Jade has a strong interest in justice and advocacy, particularly in promoting fairness, accessibility, and meaningful support for individuals navigating complex legal systems. Academically, Jade is a high achieving law student and has received multiple awards recognising her performance and commitment to legal study, including Top Part I Student Overall, placement on the Dean’s List for Legal Systems and Personal Property, the Personal Property Prize, and the Kate Edgar Tressa Thomas Retraining Award. She has also been featured by AUT in an official student profile highlighting her academic success.

Jade currently volunteers with Citizens Advice Bureau and Waitemata Law Centre and has previously volunteered at Auckland Community Law, where she worked directly with vulnerable clients and gained practical experience in legal research, issue identification, and clear written communication. Prior to pursuing law, she worked in the insurance industry in a corporate environment, developing strong skills in client engagement, risk assessment, and working within regulated and high pressure settings.

At CulturalWise, Jade contributes to the preparation of cultural reports, bringing a thoughtful, community informed, and detail oriented approach grounded in both academic excellence and practical experience.
