Matt obtained a BA majoring in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Auckland before moving to San Francisco, California for the better part of seven years. While in America, Matt continued his education in Psychology and obtained a MA in Counseling Psychology. Matt worked as a psychotherapist, providing therapy to a variety of individuals from different cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Matt is well trained on the impact that cultural, ethnic and trauma have on an individual and the community in which they live. This has leant to his ability to write accurate and meaningful cultural reports that concentrate on the intersectionality of an individual's experience. Through the combination of tertiary education and personal life experiences in a variety of cultural contexts, Matt is well suited to provide compassionate, empathetic, and well-rounded reports that bring the whole individual into focus.
