Saskia Peel

Saskia has a BA/BHSc majoring in Public Health and Psychology from the University of Auckland where she also obtained her PGDip in Public Health. She recently completed her Master's in Public Policy with a dissertation that focused on the needs of survivors of state care and their perceptions of current policy. Saskia is certified in Te Reo Māori and Applied Suicide Intervention. She is currently a Service Designer and has worked in different roles within the Ministry of Social Development, most notably in Work and Income and Historic Claims (Abuse in State Care) where she gained extensive experience interviewing clients who had been abused sexually, physically, or emotionally in state care. Saskia is passionate about making a difference and giving a voice to the most vulnerable.
